Privacy Policy
How information is handled when you interact with CompuExperts.
Effective date: July 24, 2026
Information you provide
CompuExperts may receive information that you voluntarily provide, including your name, organization, email address and details included in a consultation or service inquiry.
How information is used
Information may be used to respond to inquiries, evaluate requested services, communicate about an engagement and protect the security and operation of this website.
Website and technical data
Standard server logs may record technical information such as request time, browser type, requested page and network address for security, troubleshooting and operational purposes.
Sharing
CompuExperts does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed to service providers when necessary to operate the website or deliver requested services, or when required by law.
Support-message origin information
When you send a message through the CompuExperts Communications Center, CompuExperts may collect the sending IP address and use a locally stored DB-IP Lite database to derive approximate city, region, country and coordinates when available. The lookup occurs on CompuExperts infrastructure; the IP address is not sent to an external geolocation API. This information is used for support operations, fraud and abuse prevention, service security and incident investigation.
IP-based location is approximate and may identify a carrier gateway, VPN, proxy, corporate network or internet provider location instead of a person's physical location. The IP address and location details are encrypted at rest and are available only to authorized CompuExperts staff who can access the conversation. A staff-only map may display approximate coordinates after that feature is separately enabled.
IP geolocation data is provided by DB-IP under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
